I grew up in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania and was a Cub Scout in Pack 92 and Boy Scout in Troop 32 at Drexel Hill United Methodist Church where I earned my Arrow of Light and Eagle Scout Rank. I was elected to the Order of the Arrow by my fellow scouts and completed my Ordeal and Brotherhood in Delmont Lodge 43 in the Valley Forge Council (now part of Unami One and Cradle of Liberty Council.
I graduated from Upper Darby High School and furthered my education at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, Indiana, studying Chemical Engineering and Chemistry. At Rose-Hulman, I was a Army ROTC cadet and was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Army Signal Corps. In the Army, I was a Platoon Leader and Staff Officer in the 32nd Signal Battalion in Darmstadt, Germany and was promoted to Captain before leaving the service. After my military service, I have pursued a career in Chemical Engineering and am currently working as a Process Engineer for Syngenta in Greensboro, North Carolina.
I am currently an Assistant Scoutmaster in Troop 68, Jamestown, North Carolina and contribute with Advancement and High Adventure programs. I am a merit badge counselor for Hiking, Astronomy, Radio, Reptile and Amphibian, Orienteering, Geocaching and Stamp Collecting Merit Badges. My vision is to instill a love of nature and adventure in the scouts of Troop 68 through enhancement of the outdoor and high adventure programs of the Troop.
